Grand Hyatt Doha announced its partership with Glow American Salon and Locks of Love yesterday in a press conference held in the hotel.

The first collaboration between the luxurius hotel and Glow American salon is a charity event on 8 September 2014 where you can donate your hair to Locks of Love, a nonprofit organization in the U.S.A. that makes wigs for financially disadvantaged children who suffer from hair loss due to medical illness, such as alopecia or cancer. Others have suffered severe burns or injuries or endured radiation treatment to the brain stem or other dematological conditions that result in permanent hair loss.

The wig helps to restore self-esteem and confidence, enabling these children to face the world and their peers.

''Event is open to public and everyone should take a part of it to make a difference in a child's life'' said Ms. Hillary Kozma, owner and managing director of Glow American Salon ''Clients can book their appintments to donate their hair by calling 6686 4220 or 6686 4221. All types of hair are accepted, unless its bleached. Hair must be 10 inches or longer, even if layered or curled as long as the longest layer measures at least 10 inches''. If your hair is not long enough to donate, they also highlighted other ways to participated in such a great initiative whether by booking a nail polish change for QR30, a regular haircut for QR 195, or bid for one of Grand Hyatt's amazing gifts such as a night in a royal suite, a night in an executive suite, a night in a club room, dinner for 2 at Isaan, or dinner for 2 at Rocca. Guests can also donate in cash. All donated money will be sent to Locks of Love.
