The Spanish Embassy presented the audience at the Qatar National Theatre a glimpse of Spain with the performance of the Trio Mediterraneo last night. They thumped their heels, clicked on their castanets, swirled their frilled costumes and danced to the rhythm of Spanish music with a classical twist. The flamenco dancers and musicians from Spain, who performed in front of an audience of around 200, left the stage with the guests asking for more. Arafat Hernandez of the Spanish Embassy said the event was organised by the Spanish Embassy together with the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage and the Qatar National Theatre, among others, to give the people here a preview of Spanish culture.
