As per a report by Qatar News Agency, the Qatar Calendar House announced that the Badr of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah for this year will appear in the form of what is known as the “giant full moon”. This means that the moon will appear larger than the usual full moon by about 14%, and more luminous by 30%, due to its proximity to the Earth.
According to QNA, Qatar Calendar House states that the residents of Qatar will be able to enjoy seeing and following the phenomenon of the giant moon from the evening of Wednesday, 13 July 2022 with its rise by 6:29 pm and will set on Thursday at 4:52 am local time.
Qatar Calendar House shares that this is the second giant full moon Qatar will witness this year, the first was on 14 June 2022 during the Badr of the month of Dhu al-Qi'dah.
