Get ready for a wet holiday as the Meteorology Department has forecast scattered rains, propelled by unstable weather conditions from tomorrow until Monday. The first rains of the season, accompanied with strong cold winds are expected during this period, the Department said yesterday. “The country would experience the first wave of unstable weather in this season beginning Friday evening. This condition is expected to prevail until Monday,” said a statement issued by the Department last evening. The days would remain cloudy with chances of scattered rains. Temperature is expected to dip significantly due to the presence of cold winds, settling at 24 to 27 degrees Celsius during day and 15 to 18 degrees Celsius during night. Meanwhile, the department has forecast moderate temperature today “with slight haze and some scattered clouds.” The night will be relatively cold. Southeasterly to south westerly winds will blow at 05 to 15 knots reaching 17 knots offshore. The maximum temperature expected today is 29 degrees Celsius and the minimum would settle at 22 degrees Celsius- higher by three degrees compared to yesterday. http://thepeninsulaqatar.com/Display_news.asp?section=Local_News&subsection=Qatar+News&month=November2009&file=Local_News2009112653032.xml
