General Directorate of Passports completes over 1.5 million transactions in June 2019

The General Directorate of Passports has completed more than 1.5 million transactions in June, the monthly statistics of the Ministry of Interior (MOI) showed.

The figures reflect the remarkable efforts made by the MOI and its quick delivery of services to the public, in accordance with the standards of quality deliberate.

According to the report issued Monday, the General Directorate of Passports completed 1 million, 556 thousand and 867 transactions during June. The transactions included 1 million and 188 thousand and 34 transactions in the Airport Passports Department; 61 thousand and 432 transactions in the Expatriates Affairs Department; 212 thousand and 763 transactions in the ; 3 thousand and 768 transactions in the Borders Passports Department; 42 thousand and 922 transactions in the Search and Follow-up Department; and 47 thousand and 948 transactions in the Support Services Department.

At the level of the service centres, Al Rayyan Services Centre came first with 41 thousand and 436 transactions completed in June, by 19.5%, followed by Al Wakrah Services Centre by 12.2% then Mesaimeer Services Centre by 11.4%.

In terms of transactions performed through electronic services, the Directorate completed 186,862 transactions, 287 of which were through e-government, 104 thousand and 136 transactions via the Ministry of the Interior's website, and 82 thousand and 439 transactions via 'Metrash2'.
