H.E. President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah Al Sisi received H.E. Salem bin Mubarak Al Shafi's credential as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to the Arab Republic of Egypt. H.E. the President also wished H.E. the Ambassador success in his duties, assuring him of providing all support to promote the bilateral relations in various fields. (MOFA Qatar)
H.E. Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al Hajraf met Wednesday with H.E. Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Bandar bin Mohamed Al Attiyah, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in the city of Riyadh. During the meeting, the GGC Joint Process Action was reviewed, as well as the efforts made by the states of the council to enhance cooperation and togetherness among its members. (MOFA)
The 7th meeting of the Qatari-Egyptian Follow-up Committee was held in Doha, emanating from 'Al-Ula Declaration'. It was co-chaired by H.E. Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Regional Affairs Ambassador Ali bin Fahad Al Hajri, and H.E Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab Affairs in the Arab Republic of Egypt Ambassador Yasser Othman. Subsequently, the Qatar-Egypt Legal Committee held its 6th meeting in Doha on 13-14 September 2021, under the chairmanship of H.E. Director of the Legal Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Thani, and H.E. Assistant Minister of Justice for Arbitration and International Disputes in the Arab Republic of Egypt Counselor Mustafa Al Bahbini.
As a result of the meetings, Qatar Post signed an agreement and protocol with Egypt's National Postal Authority (Egypt Post) in the field of postal cooperation and the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority signed an MOU with the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority in the field of air transport. The step comes within the framework of strengthening the cooperation and coordination between the two brotherly countries.
H.E. Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi handed over the presidency of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level to H.E. Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah. This was done during the launching of the 156th session of the Arab League Council at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League. (MOFA)
