The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received the representative of H.H. the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al Hamad Al Sabah and his accompanying delegation at the Headquarters of the Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar to the United Nations, on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. H.H. the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Than and H.H. the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani sent a cable of condolences to H.E. President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah Al Sisi on the death of former Defense Minister Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawy.

H.E. Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani also sent a cable of condolences to H.E. Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt Dr. Mostafa Madbouly. (QNA)

H.E Director-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs branch in Makkah Al-Mukarramah region Mazen bin Hamad Al Himali received credentials of H.E. Consul General of the State of Qatar in Jeddah Rashid bin Saeed Al Khayarin. He wished the Consul General success in his duties. (QNA)

The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) National Security Advisor Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed spent time together in a ‘friendly, brotherly’ meeting in the Red Sea, as tweeted by the director of the Saudi Crown Prince’s office Bader Al Asaker.

Qatar participates in meeting of 149th session of GCC Ministerial Council

Qatar participated in the annual consultative meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level, which was held on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). Qatar was represented in the meeting by H.E. Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi.

The meeting was chaired by H.E. Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Mohammad Al Sabah at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission of the State of Kuwait. (MOFA)
