The Qatar-Egypt Follow-up Committee held a meeting in Cairo. The Qatari side was chaired by His Excellency (H.E.) Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Regional Affairs Ambassador Ali bin Fahad Al Hajri, while the Egyptian side was chaired by H.E. Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab Affairs Ambassador Yasser Othman.
The meeting discussed means of bolstering the bilateral relations in the coming period, and reviewed issues on the Committee's agenda.
His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani sent condolences to the Custodian of the Holy Mosques King Salman over the death of Princess Jawaher Bint Abdulaziz Bin Abdullah Bin Jalawi Al-Saud, according to Marsal Qatar.
H.H. the Amir of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on 31 August 2021 received the credentials of H.E. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar (non-resident) to the State of Kuwait Ali Bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud, according to MoFA.
H.E. the Ambassador (Qatar) exchanged greetings and wishes of good health to H.H. the Amir of Kuwait, and to the government and people of Kuwait.
H.H. the Amir of Kuwait also wished H.E. the Ambassador (Qatar) success in performing his duties, assuring him of providing all support to advance bilateral relations between the two countries.
H.H. The Amir met with H.E. President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, on the sidelines of the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership at the headquarters of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq, according to the Amiri Diwan.
The meeting dealt with reviewing bilateral relations between the two countries and the means to enhance them in different fields, in addition to discussing the most prominent regional and international developments of joint interests.
H.H. The Amir met on 28 August 2021 with H.H. Vice President, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum during the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership, at the headquarters of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq. They discussed bilateral relations between Qatar and the UAE, based on a report in the Amiri Diwan.
H.H. the Amir participated with Their Majesties, Excellencies, Highnesses, leaders of countries and heads of state of brotherly & friendly countries in the opening session of the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership, which was held on Saturday, 28 August 2021 at the headquarters of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq.
