The State of Qatar participated in the coordination meeting for human rights' apparatuses in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, which was held in Kuwait. Qatar was represented in the meeting by H.E. Director of the Department of Human Rights at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Turki bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud, as reported by QNA.
According to Al-Sharq news, regional agitators are aiming to disrupt the Shura elections in Qatar to be held in October 2021 with thousands of fake accounts. There are more than 8,600 accounts of unclear origin, and at least 1,700 authenticated hacker accounts.
Al Jazeera's Ghada Oueiss also denounced how the UAE was using its media to highlight the protest of some Qataris against some of the rules and regulations of the Shura Council elections and tried to portray the protest as a revolution against Qatar's government. (Primetime Zone)
She tweeted:
I understand their fear of the success of a democratic experiment that provokes fear among the dictators, but their method of expressing this fear is cheaper than garbage.
H.H. the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani issued Amiri Decision No. 29 of 2021 and appointed Bandar Mohamed Abdullah Al Attiyah as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Ariyadhiah tweeted saying that two Qatari referees Abdul Rahman Al Jassim and Saoud Al Athba will lead two matches to be held in Saudi Arabia. Al Jassim will referee a match between Al Nassr and Damac on 13 August 2021 and Al-Athba will referee a match between Al-Hilal and Al-Ta’ee on 14 August 2021. These two matches will be held in the first round of the Saudi Professional League 2021-2022.
