According to Pro Partner's General Manager (Qatar) James King, his company has witnessed a 75% surge in business activity between Qatar and Saudi Arabia in 2021's first quarter after diplomatic ties were restored between the two countries, as reported by Arab News.

In addition, Pro Partner, a company specialising in the formation of companies, has seen a 40% increase in the number of Saudi firms wanting to set up their operations in Qatar during the same period.

King said:

“The increase in Qatar company formations is being driven by the multi-tiered investment opportunities in the country. These include opportunities linked with the FIFA 2022 World Cup, the North Field Expansion Gas Development Project and the Qatar National Vision 2030. This growth is further enhanced by the ending of the Qatar boycott and the gradual lifting of COVID-19 restrictions."
