Qatar's delegation, chaired by His Excellency (H.E.) Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani participated in the 148th meeting of the GCC ministerial council that took place at the GCC headquarters in Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, according to MOFA.
The ministerial meeting dealt with a number of reports following up the implementation of the Supreme Council's resolutions in the Sultan Qaboos and Sheikh Sabah summit in Al Ula, in addition to subjects related to the GCC's strategic ties with other countries and international blocs. The meeting also dealt with reviewing regional and international developments.
His Highness (H.H.) the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a written message from H.E. President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, pertaining to supporting relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing and developing them. The message also mentioned the most prominent regional and international developments, according to QNA.
The message was handed over by H.E. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt Sameh Shoukry, during a meeting with H.H. the Amir at his office in the Amiri Diwan on the morning of 15 June 2021, during which they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of developing and strengthening them.
H.E. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met with H.E. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt Sameh Shoukry, who was visiting the country, according to QNA.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, especially in the field of investment, and the exchange of support in international forums. The two sides stressed the importance of coordinating regional efforts to reach solutions that guarantee the security and stability of the region and encourage joint cooperation.
During the meeting, H.E. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs noted the positive developments in the relations between the two countries, stressing that these developments enhance the security and stability of the region.
H.E. Minister of Municipality and Environment Engineer Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie met with H.E. Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Engineer Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al Fadhli, during his visit to the country, according to QNA.
During the meeting, they reviewed aspects of cooperation between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in areas of common interest.
