Whenever you have had to make plans with your friends, have you ever been stumped for ideas on things to do? I know I definitely have. My friends and I always either scramble at the last moment to find something fun to do, or we’re super indecisive, or we can’t think of anything to do at all. Sound familiar? I’m sure this has happened to many people. Many of us opt for going to a cinema and catching a movie, but what fun is that really? You just sit with your friends for about two hours, focused on the movie, and barely interact with each other. I’m all about enjoying an interactive experience with friends, so we’ve come up with some ideas, in case you ever need them, for an enjoyable time with your buds.

Bowling

Competitive and interactive? Totally. You can find bowling facilities at the Qatar Bowling Center, Villaggio Shopping Mall, and at the Student Center in Qatar Foundation.

Ice Skating

Everyone thinks ice skating is outdated and never even suggests it as an activity anymore. Personally I think it’s the best way to keep cool and have fun during our intense summers. You can find ice skating rinks at Villaggio Shopping Mall and at City Center Mall.

Laser Tag

Laser tag is super fun! Particularly if you’re going out with a large group of people. You basically have two teams of people trying to beat each other using laser-guns. You can find a laser tag facility at Villaggio Shopping Mall in Gondolania.

Adventure Rooms

If you ever watched that one episode of Big Bang Theory where the group tries out a mysterious room that they have to escape from with a zombie in it, it’s essentially the same idea. Adventure Rooms: “Your group has 60 minutes to find its way out of a mysterious room. This is accomplished by using logic, searching for clues and using unique items in the room to help you get through obstacles like locks and doors, etc."

This is an awesome activity to partake in with your friends. It’s not even that difficult and everyone will enjoy! It’s also competitive of course, and the winner gets to make fun of their friends for losing. You can find a go karting track at Villaggio Shopping Mall.

Beach

Dune Bashing

If you've lived in Doha long enough then you've definitely heard about our infamous dunes. Dune bashing is an exciting activity which involves being seated in a Landcruiser, or any type of 4x4, and having an experienced driver take you on a roller coaster and adrenaline inducing ride on sand dunes. It's so much fun when when you're with your friends! You can go dune bashing at Sealine.

Located at the Pearl-Qatar in Medina Centrale, it essentially has everything you need for an enjoyable evening out with your friends. From bowling to action packed, high-tech simulators, they have it all. Check it out!

What we need:
Paintball (we've had it in the past, but they've closed down), Bounce (check out bounce.ae), Amusement Parks (like Six Flags?!), Rollerblading rinks!
