A definitely able athlete will endorse the CSR message of Sasol and participate at Doha GOALS Forum
The international Energy and Chemical company Sasol,
received yesterday the multi world record holder Oscar Pistorius, invited to promote its
definitely able CSR campaign in Qatar.
The first ever double amputee to compete in the Olympic Games, ‘Blade Runner’ Pistorius
arrived to Doha on Friday for an inspiring journey full of surprises and strong moments
where he will spread his empowering messages by words and deeds throughout a week
long journey.
Oscar will be supporting the definitely able campaign, an initiative created by Sasol Qatar,
in collaboration with the Qatar Olympic and the Qatar Paralympic Committee aiming at
raising awareness and highlighting the positive contribution of people with disabilities in
building the local community.
During his visit, Pistorius will also join other sporting icons at Doha GOALS Forum, created
under the high patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, The Emir of
Qatar.
The first comments of Oscar in Doha were: “I look forward to participating in
Sasol’s definitely able campaign and continue Sasol’s efforts to raise awareness by
demonstrating what ‘definitely able’ really means.”
He added: “I am also delighted to take part in Doha GOALS Forum, with a chance to
see how the values of sport – teamwork, dedication, and hard work – can inspire
individuals and communities”.
