With parents always hoping to entertain their kids and, now and again, themselves, it's no surprise that theme parks are one of the most popular attractions in Qatar. Opening soon will be some of the best global theme parks, but not to worry -- because there's already many established ones already open that offer an amazing range of facilities for families and visitors!

So, as the rollercoaster ride of the working week finally slows down, here are our top theme parks loved by families in Qatar, to help you decide which one you should visit this weekend! (Plus we give you a sneak peak at some awesome global theme parks soon to open in Doha!)

Gondolania Theme Park

Gondolania is an indoor-themed park located in Villaggio Mall and is well-known for its entertainment for both kids and adults alike. State-of-the-art facilities include rides such as the Kiddie Boat, a roller-coaster, the Viking, a ferris wheel, Dino Land, plus a flume ride, bumper cars, and a Drop Tower. Other attractions include a boat ride, ice rink, bowling, laser tag, Go-Karts and even a children's salon. Another prominent feature is a 4D cinema, which provides an amazing cinematic thrill ride in itself as you sit in comfort, feeling as if you might just be able to reach out and become part of the action. However, Gondolania also has many cafes, restaurants, and a food hall offering a wide range of tasty treats to satisfy the keenest appetites! In short, this amusement park boasts all facilities --making it a one-stop destination for people of all ages.

Aqua Park Qatar

Aqua Park is, as the name suggests, is a water park that spreads out over an area of 50,000 square metres and is designed to accommodate more than 3,000 visitors. Its major attractions include Stingray Surfing, a huge wave pool, a lazy river, lagoon pool, speed lines, Boomerango, tube slides, Space Boat, Kids Pirates Bay, an African Village, Bumper Boat Kids Driving School and a Jacuzzi Cave. There are many restaurants and kiosks (which can be rented) inside the park where you can enjoy various types of meals, snacks, and drinks available to all. There are also retail and merchandise outlets where you can purchase essentials such as clothes, water toys, hats, and sunscreen, to name a few. And, as a bonus, there are also special days and timings that are scheduled for ladies and families only.

Jungle Zone

Jungle Zone in Hyatt Plaza is a jungle-themed park, designed like a colourful forest with animated animals and trees. A sweet dreamland for children, major attractions include rollercoasters, video games, carnival games, bumper cars, a racetrack and bumper boats, plus amusement park rides such as Candy Bouncers, Splash Falls and Funcano coasters. The other attractions include the 7D dark ride, and 'The Nest' area specifically for children between 2-5 years-old. Jungle Zone also has facilities for well-decorated party rooms with Tropical, Amazon, and Rainforest themes. These party rooms have arrangements for exciting shows such as juggling, acrobatics, face-painting, and magic. This fun-filled entertainment park is a fantastic fun place for children to spend some quality time and burn off some energy.

Circus Land

Circus Land in Landmark Mall is a well-established, circus-themed amusement park that caters to the needs of children of all ages. It',s been designed in the style of a circus destination, filled with fun, frolics and it is a great place to ‘clown around’! Major attractions include a traditional horse carousel, the Red Baron aeroplane flyover, an inflatable slide, trampoline beds, bumper cars, an exciting four-storey soft-play area, and a wide variety of simulators and video games. There's a separate food court to fill the needs of the hungriest children and includes all major food franchises. Cinema Land also features a kids salon and three state-of-the-art theatres for an awesome cinematic experience. This futuristic destination at Doha Festival City is devoted entirely to video games. KidZania is coming to Doha in 2018 in the heart of Aspire Zone. Children ages 4-14 will be able to freely choose from more than 60 real-life fun activities in a safe and secure kid-sized city. Activities range from doctor, dentist, and police officer to firefighter, actor, and singer.
