Fishing boats and private yachts will soon be required to install electronic identification equipment on board for the Coast Guards to identify them. For this purpose, new laws will be framed and the existing legislation regulating the entry and operation of fishing boats and yachts in Qatar’s territorial waters will be amended to conform to relevant international regulations. The Ministry of Interior is setting up a panel to draft the required legislation and amendments.
