Fish prices have shot up in the local market following the dust storm that lashed the country over the past one week. The strong winds stopped fishermen from going to the sea leading a severe shortage in the local catch. Prices of popular varieties like King fish rose to as high as QR90 per kg in some shopping malls yesterday. Hamour was priced at QR70 to QR75 while many other popular varieties were either short in supply or not available.
