The first restaurant to open at The Pearl-Qatar, BiCE, the high-end Milan-based restaurant chain, officially opened its doors to the public yesterday.
“Italian cuisine is one of the more famous cuisines worldwide… and what we have created here in Doha is a brand. A number of people have visited BiCE restaurants worldwide and they recognise it and I am sure people here will recognise it as well… BiCE is here to please the crowd of Doha,” said Roberto Ruggeri, CEO and founder of the BiCE group of restaurants.
BiCE, which offers Italian dishes with a modern and stylish setting, has opened here its fourth branch in the Middle East. The BiCE group was established in 1926 when Beatrice “Bice” Ruggeri, Ruggeri’s mother, opened her first trattoria in Milan. The BiCE group now operates a network of 18 bistros globally.
Ruggeri said depending on the success of this restaurant, he may open other BiCE concepts here like BiCE Mare, BiCE Beef Bar, Bistro Milano and Cinto Pizza.
