First batch eurofighter typhoon aircraft received qatar

The Amir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani witnessed the arrival of the first batch of Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft for the Qatar Emiri Air Force at Dukhan Air Base on 27 August 2022. The aircraft will be part of a squadron of F15-QA and Rafale aircraft.

The Amir attended a live air show of aircraft and conducted a tour of the Dukhan Air Base, which included the Aviation Wing Command Building No. 6 (Rafale), the immediate take-off building, the control tower, and the Air Operations Center. The Amir was also briefed on the advanced systems and technologies for missions and air operations that aim to develop the capabilities of the Qatar Emiri Air Force.

His Highness was accompanied by H.E. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Muhammad al-Attiyah, Staff Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel al-Nabit, Chief of Staff of the Qatar Armed Forces, Major General Pilot Jassim Muhammad al-Mannai, Commander of the Qatar Emiri Air Force and a number of senior officials.

Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft possesses both weapon availability and power to support missile in-flight updates and bomb in-flight targeting. These aircraft can carry up to six bombs, six missiles, a cannon, and a targeting pod.
