The United Filipino Organisations in Qatar (UFOQ), the umbrella organisation of more than 100 Filipino groups here, yesterday appealed on its member organisations and the entire Filipino community to support the Philippine Embassy’s call for assistance for the victims of typhoon Haiyan. The super typhoon wreaked havoc to hundreds of thousands of Filipinos in the Visayas region with around 10,000 people feared dead. UFOQ Chairman, Jhin Tabuzo yesterday called on not only the member-organisations but the entire Filipino community to support the embassy’s drive to collect donations for the victims. Philippine Ambassador Crescente R Relacion yesterday issued a circular calling everyone to take part in the massive drive to generate donations to help needy Filipinos in the affected areas of the country. Those who wish to donate may contact UFOQ Welfare and Outreach Committee (WOC) chairman Lyndon Magsino (Mob. 55698990) or vice chairman Pastor Beda Robles (Mob 55830946).
