FIFA Decision Live at The Pearl-Qatar – Bring Home The Bid!
Doha, December 1st, 2010: The Pearl-Qatar is installing big screen TVs decking out space along La Croisette, the boardwalk of Porto Arabia inviting all present to watch the announcement of the FIFA 2022 World Cup bid live from 4pm, Thursday afternoon, December 02, 2010.
Two zones for supporters have been set up along La Croisette with ample viewing and seating areas for all. The first big screen can be found next to Chocolate Bar, with a second big screen also set up near Pampano and Liza restaurants.
Khalil Sholy, UDC Managing Director and President said: “United Development Company is wholeheartedly behind Qatar’s bid to host the FIFA 2022 World Cup. The local bid committee has run a fantastic campaign which has catapulted Qatar onto the world stage. It’s an exciting time for the country and we will all be watching proud and hopeful when the decision is made.”
The bidding process to host the FIFA 2022 World Cup has been one of the most hotly contested ever with each of the final candidates putting forward a strong case to host the tournament. Coverage of the FIFA decision begins at 4pm Thursday, December 2, 2010.
