February 10th has been named as the deadline day for the Doha 2020 Olympic bid logo. The logo, along with a slogan, will be revealed at an annual community fun day in Doha known as Wheels ‘n’ Heels, which aims to promote active lifestyles. The official bid website will go live on the same day. Commenting on the event, bid chief executive Moora Al Mannai said “The unveil of our bid logo and slogan and the launch of the new website are all important building blocks in our bid to host the first ever Olympic and Parlympic Games in the Middle East. “Our Applicant File is also now in the very final stages of production. We are proud of its content and the hosting plans and legacy vision it contains.” Next month will also see Doha’s applicant file for the 2020 Games made public, after it has been submitted to the International Olympic Committee. Earlier this month, it was revealed by Inside the Games that Doha will have to answer supplementary questions about how it plans to help people cope with the extreme heat. 7Days
