FAO elects Qatar as Vice President

The General Conference of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) unanimously elected at the opening session of its 41st Session held in Rome today, HE Qatar's Minister of Municipality and Environment Eng. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Subaie as Vice-President of the FAO General Conference.

Qatar has been unanimously elected as a member of the FAO Council for the fourth consecutive session.

The State of Qatar is represented at the Council of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), which prepares the annual financial budget of the Organization and its projects in the field to eradicate poverty, hunger and undernourishment in the world by HE Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Malki, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Italy and its Permanent Representative to United Nations agencies United Nations in Rome.
