The Fahes vehicles technical inspection centre located in Al Mazrouah is the biggest in Qatar. It has 14 lanes dedicated to the inspection of light and 2 lanes dedicated to inspecting heavy vehicles at the same time with has helped in reducing the waiting time of the vehicle drivers, Technical Inspection Section Head Lieutenant Colonel Ali Jarallah Al Baridi told Qatar TV.
These 16 lanes at the Al Mazrouah Fahes centre offer complete traffic services for the vehicles and their drivers like road permit renewalor cancellation, new vehicles registration, transfer of ownership, issuing of number plates, etc.
Al Baridi also told the news channel that Fahes is dedicated to upgrading its inspection centres around the country and increasing the number of lanes to facilitate and speed up the vehicles inspection procedure. All vehicles that go to the Fahes inspection centres undergo a comprehensive inspection from inside and outside, based on technical and legal requirements.
According to Al Baridi, earlier on, the capacity of the Industrial Area Fahes was increased to 1,000 light vehicles daily after the centre was renovated. The Industrial area vehicles inspection centre offers the same services as the Fahes in Al Mazrouah, and is fully automated and without human intervention.
Fahes vehicles inspection centres are operating in Al Mazrouah, Al Wakrah, Wukair, Al Sheehaniya, Al Egda, Industrial Area, Wadi Al Banat, Mesaimeer and Madinat Al Shamal.
