Ezdan Real Estate, the largest real estate company in the GCC region, has joined hands with the local organising committee in a massive campaign to promote the upcoming Arab Games Doha 2011. Under the directives of the Group Chairman Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Al Thani, Ezdan Real Estate, the Diamond Sponsor of the Arab Games 2011, has engaged 100 Karwa taxis and buses to promote the Games through graffiti and wrap ups, which are creating a good impact on the masses and effectively carrying the message across to the Qatari citizens and residents. The Doha Arab Games Organising Committee is also using six huge buildings of Ezdan Real Estate in Dafna and Mugilina areas for different and colourful wrap ups to promote the Arab Games. Qatar is credited with bringing the biggest games of the region to the GCC area for the first time. The Games are due to begin on December 9 and will conclude on December 23. More than 6,000 athletes and officials from 22 countries are expected to take part in the Games. Ezdan Real Estate has offered its high quality and stylish 1975 residential buildings to the 2011 Arab Games Organising Committee for accommodating the large number of athletes and officials. The villas and apartments (three rooms, two rooms and single room) are all equipped with modern facilities and amenities. Also will be available for the Arab Games guests are training halls, swimming pools, tennis and basketball courts, office spaces, mosques, meeting rooms, medical unit, information sports center and offices for various National Olympic Committees. There will be large restaurants for athletes, officials and other staff, besides accreditation centre. The Athletes’ Village, created by the Ezdan Real Estate, is strategically located. Most of the competitive facilities are within a short distance of seven-minute drive. The farthest sporting arena is Losail, which can be covered within half a hour. Dedicated lanes for the Arab Games 2011 have been created for transportation of teams, officials and athletes so that any traffic jam can be avoided and they can contest in their respective events without delay.
