Stenden University held its 1st Oscar Awards Night at Regency Hall.
The event recognized achievements of Stenden University’s students and faculty members. 3rd year students of Stenden University Qatar (Nimra Hafeez, Waleed Eltantawi, Clara Samuelian, Nashita Mani, Waleed Azez, Ahmed bhatti & Mohammed Taleb) studying International Business and Management Studies organized the event. It is a mandatory part of their studies in Events Management and each group has to organize an event to showcase their understanding, knowledge and professionalism. The special red carpet occasion, saw more than 150 people attendees from Stenden University Qatar, Qatar National Cancer Society representatives, as well as other sponsors. All joined together to raise money and awareness for the fight against cancer - with all proceeds of the event going towards the Qatar National Cancer Society. During the evening, Stenden University students and faculty members received awards for outstanding achievements who students voted for. The occasion was accompanied by live music and dance performances.
Mr. Otmane Sadoki, Academic Head of Stenden University, Qatar and Mrs. Fareeja, a representative from Qatar National Cancer Society, also took the opportunity to thank all those attending for their continued support in the fight against cancer
