The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced that the entrances to Al Hawsaa and Umm Qayn streets from New Al Rayyan Road leading to Luaib will be temporarily closed from today for nine months.
Vehicles can access Al Hawsaa and Umm Qayn streets by using Al Shaheeniya Street.
The closure is needed to allow for the construction of a cable tunnel to protect infrastructure services such as Kahramma cables, communication lines and other utilities as part of the construction and upgrade of Al Rayyan Road.
Ashghal will install signs to advise motorists of the diversion.
It has urged road users to abide by speed limits and follow signs to ensure their safety.
