An Entertainment Village will open today at the Doha Exhibitions Center, offering a wide range of indoor recreation facilities to the public. The village, set up by Qatar Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (QTEA) in collaboration with Seqlia, a company that organises exhibitions and conferences, is part of a series of summer events sponsored by QTEA. Running through August 15, the events will give families an incentive to visit the Village during the summer holidays. This year’s summer events feature a variety of cultural, entertainment and leisure activities for children and families to make the summer holidays lively and memorable. Entertainment Village is taking full advantage of the space at the Doha Exhibitions Center to offer children’s rides, ‘extreme rides’ and organised sporting activities in the outdoor area, with entertainment, games, restaurants and shopping areas indoors. Artistes from Europe and Asia will perform live shows, including plays, acrobatics, puppet shows and magic tricks to entertain the young and old alike. An appetising collection of restaurants and cafes will satisfy visitors of all tastes. The Entertainment Village will welcome fun-seekers from 10am to 10pm from Saturday to Thursday and from 4pm to 10pm on Fridays.
