Eight renovated beaches reopen qatar 1 november 2022

A report by The Peninsula has said that as per a Ministry of Municipality official, eight beaches will reopen after renovation on 1 November to welcome fans of the World Cup.

As per the report, the renovated beaches include Sealine Public Beach, Al Wakra Public Beach, Al Wakra Family Beach, Simaisma Family Beach, Al Farkiah Beach, Safa Al Tawq Beach, Al Ghariya Beach and Al Kharaij Beach.

Speaking on the Al Majlis programme of Alkass TV Channel on 14 October 2022, the Director of Projects and Development Department at the Ministry of Municipality, Eng Suleiman Al Abdullah said,

“We had marked 18 beaches for renovation to provide necessary services for visitors. In phase one, eight of them will be reopened on 1 November ahead of the sporting event. Under the renovation project, the beaches are provided with walkways, shades of different designs, permanent toilets, kiosks, barbeque areas, play areas for children, volleyball and football grounds."

He said, “dedicated walkways for people with special needs are also built in some beaches to give them access to the sea. The lighting system of all beaches will be powered by solar energy". As per the report, the official said a pilot project for providing lifeguard service at beaches will be initiated with Sealine and Al Ghariya beaches from 1 November.

He also mentioned that Umm Al Seneem Park, with the largest air-conditioned walkways in the world, will open by the beginning of November.
