EID celebrations begin with Henna painting at Doha Festival City

Doha Festival City, the largest entertainment, retail and hospitality destination in Qatar, managed and operated by Al-Futtaim, continued with its family-friendly Ramadan celebrations over the last weekend of Ramadan, as visitors were treated to free henna designs by a professional artists on site.

Children also had the opportunity to handcraft their own personalised Henna designs take home with them as art pieces. Throughout the weekend, shoppers also had the chance to have their photograph taken with a falcon, the national bird and symbol of culture in the Middle East.

As Eid Al Fitr approaches, Doha Festival City has also lined up shows and activities over the five-day celebrations starting from the first day of Eid for five days. Guests will be entertained by the Ice Age Collision Course live show, Ambush Man’s performance and the Museum Statues.

o Ambush Man

Event Description:

For five days, and in celebration of Eid Al Fitr, Doha Festival City will be bringing the Camouflage Art trend to Qatar for the first time. With their unique and exclusive Ambush Man act, created especially for Qatar audiences, this act mixes art and entertainment, to surprise the audience.

As the audience passes by the frame and realize that there is a man standing in front of it, completely blending with the art in the frame, they will react in many different ways. Fun and interactive, the Ambush man will have everyone wanting more.

o The Museum Statues

Event Description:

With the anticipation of Eid Al Fitr celebrations, guests will be entertained by beautiful living statues showcasing the Arab culture with their performances over a course of five days. Based on popular street entertainment, the Museum Statues will be based on Qatar's Heritage and Culture.

The Museum Statues will be showcasing the unique relationship the Nation have with the nature surrounding them and shining a light on Qatar heritage. Making this unique act, both fun and educational for all types of audiences.

o Ice Age - Collision Course Live Show

Event Description:

In celebration of Eid Al Fitr, visitors of Doha Festival City will be entertained by a live interactive stage show featuring the stars of the Ice Age movies. After the Collision Course, your favourite Ice Age characters Sid, Diego and Scrat are coming directly to meet visitors on stage. Guests will be able to join them and embark on a fabulous singing and dancing adventure. Fly into space, chase the sun, explore the solar system and learn how to save our planet. And of course, see if Scrat will finally catch his acorn!
