Children are the main focus of Eid’s traditional customs in many cultures. Several families in Qatar pointed out that they wanted to make children happier during Eid. Shopping malls reported big sales of children’s clothes, toys and sweets during Eid. Family visits are an essential part of Eid celebrations for most residents of Middle Eastern origin. Families buy new clothes and gifts for children. Egyptians pay “gift money” to children. And families make it a point to visit places like zoo, beaches and parks that children could enjoy.
