Giordano, which will be opening its third store here in Porto Arabia at The Pearl-Qatar by the end of the year, has pledged to minimize the environmental impact of its operations and will adopt energy-efficient lighting solutions in all their new stores. “Giordano has always integrated conservation methods in their day-to-day operations, from the use of environment-friendly and recyclable shopping bags at shop level, to encouraging employees to recycle paper and reduce wastage in their office processes. Giordano is also an active corporate member of the Emirates Environmental Group, and will take part in several activities and initiatives during the course of 2009,” said Ishwar Chugani, executive director of Giordano Fashions LLC. Giordano first implemented this initiative with a study that began at the end of 2007. Four stores in Hong Kong were selected for the pilot programme.
