If you’re looking for a taste of authentic molto bene Italian food, head over to Eataly, a newly opened Italian bistro in the Mall of Qatar!
The authenticity and value lies in the products and food that Eataly offers to its customers. The products are brought over from various regions in Italy, along with artisan creations from local producers at very reasonable costs.
Background
Founded by Oscar Farinetti, Eataly opened its first location in Torino, Italy in 2007 and has 29 shops worldwide today.
Eataly’s philosophy is simple: eat better, live better. The company provides products that can be sold and used within the restaurant itself, and aims to educate customers about the sumptuous Italian cuisine through cooking classes, tastings, and encounters with great chefs, producers or craftsmen.
Fashioned in the likeness of a marketplace, Eataly invites customers to participate in a unique dining and shopping experience as you move between sections browsing through traditional Italian foods, beverages, and produce on offer, or try new dishes and products from Eataly’s constantly changing highlights.
Eataly cares about the best quality produce, environmental and economic sustainability, and the people behind its products. Its commitment to working with local producers has resulted in a network of over 2,000 small suppliers.
Eataly goes Qatary
Eataly sprouted new roots right here in Qatar in December 2016, with its opening in the Mall of Qatar. It features eight stand-alone food stations manned by chefs, each of whom are experts in recreating authentic Italian tastes and flavors, along with its signature marketplace layout.
Customers in Qatar are able to purchase signature products from across every region of Italy. These include Afeltra pasta, Antonella tomato sauce, pesto from Niasca Portofino, gluten-free pasta and an assortment of sweets, biscuits, torrone and chocolate.
Although Eataly is not new to the region, having stores in Dubai and Riyadh, it has still attracted a lot of attention from Doha’s residents and visitors, who frequent the Mall of Qatar.
