ITWORX Education, a global Dubai-based educational software solution provider, has recently won the prestigious 2014 Worldwide Public Sector Partner of the Year for Education at the Microsoft Partner Awards. This award acknowledges ITWORX Education’s powerful impact in the transformation of education, and commitment towards providing cutting edge e-learning solutionsawar, in Qatar and beyond.

In collaboration with the Supreme Education Council in Qatar, ITWORX Education’s learning management platform, the Connected Learning Gateway (CLG), has been deployed by 40 schools in the country. CLG is a social learning management system that is designed to enhance the teaching process for teachers, make learning fun and insightful for K-12 students, and facilitate communication and collaboration between students, school administrators, teachers and parents. According to a recent survey, 90% of students found that e-learning improved their interaction with teachers, 93% said it helped them to easily access learning content anytime anywhere, and an immense 78% felt that e-learning definitely increased students’ creativity. The survey was conducted in March 2014 across 40 Qatari schools following the implementation of CLG.

Hatem Sallam, CEO, ITWORX Education, commented: “We are pleased to receive this worldwide recognition by Microsoft, as it highlights our dedication and expertise in education solutions globally. The fact that we are a Microsoft partner has definitely helped us to expand our business in Qatar. Qatar is making big leaps in adopting e-learning in schools, and in line with Qatar’s 2030 vision, we are committed to supporting this transition through our support to the Supreme Education Council’s initiative.”

Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, recognized ITWORX Education in his recent speech at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in Washington DC and said: “If you want to have impact in society, education is the place because you really change the outcomes of life. ITWORX Education has built this connected gateway solution which is getting deployed in many parts of the Middle East. In Fact, in Qatar alone you have 125,000 students and 15,000 teachers, who are really changing how content is delivered and more importantly how the effectiveness is measured. That means you are changing outcomes.”“Thanks for Hatem Sallam, for the company's pursuit in building education solutions that can have a broad impact on societies worldwide, and for being part of the Microsoft eco-system that is transforming this sector,” Nadella added.

ITWORX Education’s globally recognized solution, CLG, can be used by different education organizations as it can easily accommodate varied and new learning practices. The use of Microsoft products like SharePoint, SQL, and Windows 8 allows ITWORX Education to provide education organizations with a customized and rich experience. Also, Microsoft technologies allow the integration of CLG with ITWORX Education’s tablet apps, such as TeachLIVE, StudyLIVE and AuthorKit Reader, that support ‘anytime anywhere’ learning, and enhance communication and collaboration.
