Doha will host the 10th GCC Dermatology and Venereology Conference (GCC Derma) from December 17 to 19.
GCC Derma is the premier educational opportunity for dermatologists and plastic surgeons in the Gulf and the Middle East, to familiarise with the latest in the science and technology in the field through exhibitions, lectures, courses and workshops.
A number of practitioners, specialists, manufacturers and distributors in the field of dermatology, anti-ageing and skin lasers will take part in the event which is held every two years.
Dr Hassan Al Abdullah, a Consultant Dermatologist and head of the conference, said that preparations have been completed to launch the GCC Derma, in which an elite group of doctors dermatologists in the GCC, the Arab world, Europe and the United States are taking part.
This year, the participants will tackle a number of key issues including the Anti-Ageing Medicine as a new branch of the modern medicine, he said.
The Anti-Ageing Medicine is the most important characteristic of the conference and an important topic of great interest to the medical community in the world as an extension of Preventive Medicine, and a basis for primary health. It is also interfere in all branches of medicine such as dentistry, heart, bone, skin and other various medical specialties, Dr Hassan said.
The conference will also discuss Clinical Dermatology and Venereology, what is new in dermatology and venereology, Dermatopathology, Aesthetic Dermatology and Surgery, Newest Technologies in Laser and Lights Therapies, Fillers Symposium, Botulinum Toxin Symposium, Skin Resurfacing, Skin Enhancement, Fat Aesthetic Treatments, Mesotherapy, and Cosmetic Practice and Marketing.
There will be an exhibition, workshops and seminars including an Anti-Ageing Seminar to be presented by Dr Hassan Al Abdullah and Dr Claude Chauchard from the University of Montpellier in France.
