Local students take a tour of race garages at Losail International Circuit thanks to local supporter QD-SBG

Ahead of the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East (CCME) action kicking into gear at Losail International Circuit at the weekend, local students were given the opportunity to get behind the scenes at a garage tour, thanks to proud supporter of the Doha rounds, QD-SBG.

The lucky pupils were shown around the team garages, meeting drivers and mechanics who were on hand to showcase the cars and explain more about the Porsche GT3 CCME race series. The group got closer to the action than ever with the chance to get the drivers’ view and sit in the racing seat of the QD-SBG sponsored Porsche GT3 Cup car. Following the tour, the youngsters stayed on at the circuit to watch qualifying get underway.

The Doha rounds of the Porsche GT3 CCME are proudly supported by QD-SBG. Following a thrilling weekend of action from 17-18 January, which saw victories for Clemens Schmid in Race 1 and Jeffrey Schmidt in Race 2, Round 2 gets underway 30 January - 1 February. The race is free and open to all.

Created to inspire and identify top Arab and local-based talent, the Porsche GT3 CCME enters its fifth season as the most competitive and professional racing series in the region. The 12-round series features leading drivers from the Middle East and Europe, all competing in identical new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars on world-class circuits in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Qatar.
