Doha Players will perform its latest pantomime, ‘Dick Whittington and His Cat’ by Stuart Ardern from December 9 to 11 at the College of the North Atlantic – Qatar, Duhail. “The tradition of pantomime has been around for hundreds of years and the Doha Players are keen to keep it alive and kicking,” chairperson for marketing Charles Clarke said. Dick Whittington is a tale that has been around for over 200 years and it is a classic tale of rags-to-riches with lots of fun and laughter on the way. “This year’s pantomime has been directed by Ian Lacey and Gill Hope,” the official explained. They have been able to involve a mass of new talent in the show to play the traditional characters of Dick Whittington and His Cat. The first staging is on December 9 at 7pm. On December 10 and 11, there are two shows each, at 2.30pm and 6.30pm.
