The Doha Centre for Media Freedom (DCMF) will organise a workshop for journalists on searching the Internet in English from September 12 to 14 at Oryx Rotana Hotel in Doha, reports QNA. The three-day event discusses possibilities, limitations and scopes of online research and how to take first steps into the digital revolution and translate that into work. The trainees will learn how to identify whether a source of information is reliable, legal and ethical issues of information, texts and multimedia, and ways to share data. The Doha Centre for Media Freedom is an international institution formally created on December 7, 2007 by HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and opened in October 2008 in Doha. The DCMF’s stated purpose is to provide physical refuge for threatened journalists, as well as to support freedom of the press. Gulf Times
