Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition (DJWE) opens today Monday 20 February to showcase its exclusive collections of gemstones, high jewellery and finest timepieces, under the theme ‘Once upon a time… luxury’. From today Monday and continuing for 5 days, DJWE invites watches and jewellery lovers and luxury connoisseurs to discover the over 400 prestigious brands at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC). The 14th edition of DJWE promises visitors a series of innovative experiences telling unforgettable stories of luxury. As part of the new stories at the exhibition, world-renowned clock-experts Objectif Horlogerie from Paris, are holding fascinating hands on watch-making workshops for watch enthusiasts to take part in for the first time in Doha. Also on offer for the duration of the exhibition is the Harcourt Studio offering complimentary glamourous black and white portraits of DJWE visitors, in the privacy of their on-site photo studio. Alongside heritage brands on show and next to the unique Central Exhibition featuring rare, privately-owned pieces, this year’s exhibition also features a new initiative showcasing collections from emerging local talent, ‘Young Qatari Designers’. The exhibition welcomes a number of Qatar’s premier jewellery patrons including Al Fardan Jewellery Company, Al Majed Jewellery, Al Muftah Jewellery, Ali Bin Ali group, Amiri Gems WLL, Blue Salon and Fifty One East. DJWE 2017 is organised by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) and delivered by Auditoire, who encourage visitors to enjoy the exhibition by registering either at DECC or online at www.djwe.qa.
