Doha Hosts 2nd Gulf Economic Forum Monday

Under the patronage of HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani, the Federation of GCC Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FGCC Chambers) and Suly Company will organize on Monday (January 21) in Doha the 2nd Gulf Economic Forum, Qatari, with participation of a number of officials, senior Gulf investors and foreign delegations. The forum is scheduled to be preceded by a reception on Sunday to be held under the auspices of HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari. It will be attended by a group of presidents and members of federations of GCC chambers, Arab businesswomen council, leading GCC and Arab investors, and foreign delegations interested in Qatar's economy. General Manager of Suly Company Abdurrahman Ahmed Behzad told Qatar News Agency that some 200 to 250 participants will take part in the forum which will explore investment opportunities in Qatar. The forum aims at encouraging the investment in the GCC countries and achieving a number of basic goals, most importantly opening new horizons for partnership and investment. It also aims at alluring the regional and international investments through showcasing the investment opportunities available in the industrial, tourism, real estate and agricultural sectors. The forum seeks as well to enhance the communication between the entrepreneurs in various areas and setting up small and medium enterprises, as well as appropriate investment atmospheres to raise the volume of investment in the GCC countries.
