Doha F1 prospects delight Hamilton Wednesday, 07 December 2011 06:36 DOHA: The prospect of staging a Formula One in Qatar in future excites McLaren-Mercedes star Lewis Hamilton. The 26-year-old, who was in Doha for a brief stay of less than two days, yesterday was impressed with fans backing the popular British Formula One racer. “I wasn’t expecting so much of interest and support here, but I am massively grateful,” Hamilton said during an interview yesterday. “I really hope we get to have a Grand Prix (in Qatar) at some stage, knowing now that there are so many people interested in Formula One here,” the 2008 world champion added.
