To facilitate the completion of construction works on the pedestrian underpass that aims to provide safe pedestrian crossings, the Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces a traffic shift onto parallel lanes on Al Corniche Street between Al Sheraton Intersection and National Theatre Intersection. In coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, this change will be implemented starting Friday 18 October 2019 for a period of six months.
During this period, traffic on Al Corniche Street coming from Doha and heading towards Al Dafna between National Library and Sheraton Intersections as well as traffic coming from Al Dafna and heading towards Doha between National Library and National Theatre Intersections will be shifted onto parallel lanes.
The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the temporary traffic shift and request all road users to abide by the speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
