We strongly believe in the importance of cultivating a love for music within our youth.” Accompanying the Orchestra at this concert will be the community choir Doha Singers, a mixed group that is 50 members strong and directed by Bob Krebs. Bob Krebs is the Choral Director at the American School of Doha (ASD). The Orchestra is being directed by Brita Fray. The Wind Band will be conducted by Sanford Jones. The Doha Community Orchestra as a whole boasts approximately 60 players of various nationalities from all walks of life, including students, professional musicians, music teachers and amateurs. The concert at the end of the month will begin with Sanford Jones and the DCO Wind Band performing Air for Band, a Gershwin selection, and Mancini’s The Pink Panther. The Wind Band will also be performing 7th ACCS March by local published composer John K Evans, a trombone player in the DCO.
