Qatar residents who would like to contribute to the humanitarian efforts in Nepal can now make an online donation via Doha College website.
In response to the tragedy that struck the nation on April 25, Doha College has created a dedicated online payment system to collect donations.
All money raised through the Doha College Support Nepal Appeal will be distributed through World Challenge, which is the partner to Doha College for the Duke of Edinburgh Awards. World Challenge operates across Nepal and will be able to distribute the monies raised by the Doha College community directly to people of Nepal.
To make a donation please visit the Doha College website at www.dohacollege.com and click on the Support Nepal Banner.
The tragedy also prompted a group of Year 4 students to raise money for those affected, with the six boys setting up a Loom Band Shop to sell their own creations to their primary school classmates. Over one month the boys sold approximately 140 bracelets, raising 550 riyals.
