Doha College, a leading British Curriculum international school in Qatar, has announced plans to shortly begin construction on a new pioneering 21st century campus in Al Wajba.

The new 90,000m² state-of-the-art campus will open its doors in September 2020, the year of the 40th anniversary of Doha College, and offer a 6-form Primary School and a 10-form Secondary School, in addition to retaining a 4-form Primary School at its West Bay location. Operations at the school’s Al Waab location will cease and move to the new campus in Al Wajba.

With its reputation for outstanding educational achievements and excellent examination results at all levels, Doha College consistently experiences a positive demand for places. The new campus and current West Bay location will provide additional capacity to the residents of Qatar in two strategic locations, and align with the aims and objectives of Qatar's National Vision 2030.

In addition to cutting-edge facilities and inspiring learning environments, the new development will feature dedicated zones for Primary and Secondary, as well as expansive indoor and outdoor sports facilities, swimming pools, drama studios and assembly halls.

Dr Steffen Sommer, Principal of Doha College, said: “As one of the most established British schools in Qatar, Doha College boasts a rich history of educational excellence dating back to 1980.

I am delighted to be part of the journey that will enhance our legacy and further embed our motto of ‘Excellence for All, Excellence from All’. Our new world-class campus will allow future generations of Doha College students to thrive and unlock their full potential in an environment which is fit for the learning needs of the 21st century.”
