Doha is fast becoming the capital of international peace for its tremendous roles in establishing the pillars of global peace and security, and the capital of mediations and constructive dialogue, especially after the historical signing of the Agreement for Bringing Peace to Afghanistan between the United States and the Afghan Taliban movement, which will end years of conflict and establish a new stage in the future of Afghanistan.

Qatar with its efforts in resolving conflict, ending crises and establishing peace has become a role model, as the world now refers to Doha as a capital for peace, conflict resolution, safety making and global stability, especially after the Peace Agreement in Afghanistan received wide international welcome and a great tribute, noting the success of the Qatari diplomacy in ending the intractable crisis and years of war, destruction, killing and displacement.

The active Qatari diplomacy, the newspaper said, is always respected and appreciated by the world, in view of the tremendous efforts of Doha in achieving the Agreement for Bringing Peace to Afghanistan that would not have occurred without the high professionalism of the Qatari diplomacy over the past years, which earned it global confidence, due to its many successes at the international diplomatic level.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani also received a call from from the French President Emmanuel Macron, during which the two sides reviewed the close bilateral relations and means of promoting and developing them in all fields, as well as the most important developments on the regional and international arenas, especially the situation in Libya and ways of maintaining security and stability in the country, in addition to the situation in Afghanistan.

The paper also noted the French President's praise of the efforts made by Qatar in reaching a peace agreement between the United States and the Afghan Taliban movement, which was signed in Doha on Saturday.

The Qatari diplomatic achievement continues to be heard throughout the world, as the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the United Nations, the European Union and a number of Western capitals have praised the agreement signed in Doha, which would enter Afghanistan in a new stage after four decades of successive wars, and 18 years of US military intervention, the paper said, noting that the friendly Afghan people will reap the fruits of peace, security and stability, and that the internal fighting will end.

Qatari mediation played a role in reaching the Doha Peace Agreement in Darfur, in Eritrea's release of the Djiboutian prisoners, and in the release of hostages in Syria, and before that it resulted in an end to the presidential vacuum in Lebanon, stressing that Qatar is also working to achieve reconciliation between the Palestinians.
