Doha Bank has launched a new “Education Pack”. It comprises child education plan, education loan, smart saver and the Al Dana young savers schemes. “With a number of elite international schools and universities from around the globe present in Doha and an advanced public education system, the Education Pack comes along to service educational needs,” Doha Bank Group CEO R Seetharaman said. Retail Banking executive manager Nabil Tabbara said the Child Education Insurance Plan is the best investment tool for saving for children’s education and with a minimal sum of money. “The scheme allows you to invest small sums of money and get the same back with assured returns. For those who didn’t get the chance to invest in Doha Bank’s Child Education Plan we have created the education loan which can finance entire schooling, with a smart repayment period of 11 months, a grace period of one month and a new loan every year,” he said. Tabbara also confirmed that the education loan also finances university dues locally and overseas. “Whether you are planning to study in Qatar or overseas, Doha Bank grants up to QR75,000 for the initial loan and finances university fees for all the subsequent years.
