The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces that it will close part of Salwa Road at Rawdat Rashed Interchange, in the lanes leading to Doha, starting from Friday 31 August 2018 for a period of six months, in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.
During this period, traffic on the closed part of Salwa Road will be diverted to the opposite side of the road, which will include two lanes for traffic heading to Doha and another two lanes heading to Bu Samra, as shown in the attached map.
The closure aims to enable construction works of a new bridge parallel to the existing bridge at Rawdat Rashed Interchange, in order to accommodate the traffic heading to Rawdat Rashed Road. This is part of the fourth phase of Rawdat Rashed Road Development Project implemented by Ashghal.
The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the diversion. Ashghal requests all road users to abide by the speed limit, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
