Department of Meteorology warns of thundery rain associated with sudden strong wind and high sea till afternoon

Weather inshore until 6 p.m. on Thursday will be moderate temperature daytime with scattered clouds and chance of light rain at some areas, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report.

Offshore, it will be cloudy to partly cloudy with chance of scattered rain till afternoon thundery at times, the report added, warning of thundery rain associated with strong wind and high sea till afternoon.

Wind inshore will be mainly northeasterly to southeasterly at a speed of 08 to 18 knot, gusting to 25 knot at times.

Offshore, it will be southeasterly to northeasterly 08 to 18 knots, gusting to 25 knots with thundery rain.

Visibility will be 4 to 8 kilometers.

Sea state inshore will be 1 to 3 feet, rises to 4 feet with thundery rain. Offshore, it will be 3 to 5 feet, rises to 8 feet with thundery rain.
