Department of meteorology warns of thunderstorm and strong wind

Weather inshore until 6 p.m. on Monday will be partly cloudy to cloudy with chance of scattered rain may be thundery and slight dust to blowing dust at places at times, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report, warning of expected thunderstorm and strong wind at some areas.

Offshore, it will be cloudy with scattered rain maybe thundery at times, becoming dust later, the report said, warning of expected thunder rain with strong wind and high sea.

Wind inshore will be southeasterly to northeasterly 14 to 24 knot gusting to 32 knot at places.

Offshore, it will be southeasterly to easterly 20 to 30 knot, gusting to 45knot at some places with thunder rain.Visibility will be 4 to 08/03 kilometers or less at places at times.

Sea state inshore will be 3 to 4 feet, rises to 5 feet with thunder rain. Offshore, it will be 5 to 10 feet, rises to 14 feet at some places with thunder rain. (QNA)
