Department of meteorology warns of thunder rain, strong wind

Weather inshore until 6 p.m. on Monday will be relatively hot with slight dust to blowing dust at times and partly cloudy to cloudy later with chance of light rain at some places, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report, warning of expected strong wind at places.

Offshore, it will be dusty and cloudy with chance of scattered rain at some places maybe thundery at times, the report added, warning of expected thunder rain at some places, strong wind and high sea.

Wind inshore will be southeasterly to southwesterly at first 12 to 22 knot, becoming northwesterly by afternoon gusting to 30 knot at some places at times.

Offshore, it will be southeasterly to southwesterly 18 to 28 knot gusting to 36 knot at some places, shifts to northwesterly by afternoon.

Visibility will be 4 to 08/03 kilometers at places at times.

Sea state inshore will be 2 to 4 feet, rises to 5 feet at some places. Offshore, it will be 6 to 9 feet, rises to 14 feet at some places at times. (QNA)
